Voted one of the top 10 best lakes in California by Sunset Magazine in 2006, Bass Lake is a beautiful recreational destination just 17 miles from Yosemite National Park. With sapphire blue waters surrounded by towering pine trees, the deep, scenic lake is a popular summertime getaway for boating, fishing, paddle boarding, water and jet skiing, wave running, and swimming. Bass Lake also offers amazing hiking trails with sublime views of Bass Lake and the surrounding Sierra National Forest. The lake offers several boat launches and marinas, including at The Pines Resort, with water sport rentals and gear. Bass lake host many cool events like the annual July 4 fireworks display and the Bass Lake Fishing Derby.

    Nothing says summer fun and adventure like boating and jet skiing on Bass Lake. Located right on the shores of Bass Lake, The Pines Resort features a boat launch and a marina with boat, jet ski, wave runner, and canoe rentals. You’ll also find water sport rentals at The Fork Marina and General Store.
  • What is the fishing like on Bass Lake?

    Bass Lake is a beautiful fishing destination stocked with bass, trout, Kokanee salmon, catfish, crappie and bluegill. The deep, long lake features four bays brimming with catch and a public boat launch. Bass Lake is home to some of the largest salmon in California during the summer season, and you’ll find big black and spotted bass during the fall and spring when the lake is quiet. Fish in the early mornings, before the boaters and jet skiers come out to play.
