Two of these gargantuan specimens are among the world's 25 oldest trees. In fact, one tree in particular - dubbed the Grizzly Giant - is somewhere between 1900 and 2400 years old. Mariposa Grove is closed until Spring 2017

  • What are the fees for visiting Mariposa Grove?

    All visitors must pay a park entrance fee of $20 per vehicle. Otherwise, the fee is $10 for persons arriving on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, horseback on via non-commercial bus.
  • Is Mariposa Grove open year round?

    Yes, however, the two-mile Mariposa Grove Road is closed from approximately December through March. During this time, you will have to visit the area on foot or by skiing.
